Legal Services

For foreign nationals with United States citizen or lawful permanent resident family members, we use our expertise in family based immigration to prepare, process, and file petitions and applications all over the country and the world.  We regularly represent clients at the local USCIS offices in Miami, West Kendall, Oakland Park, Hialeah, Royal Palm Beach, and Fort Myers, Florida.  Despite our focus in South Florida, we have represented numerous clients in New York, North Carolina, Louisiana, Illinois, Washington, Virginia, Puerto Rico, and elsewhere throughout the United States.  When family members are located outside the United States, we regularly work with U.S. Consulates and Embassies around the world to help clients and family members receive their green cards to come to the U.S. and live together with their family.

Our results-driven, technologically advanced team of legal experts represents corporate and individual clients on employment-based immigration matters. We possess the expertise to navigate the visa process on behalf of employers or individuals seeking legal employment status in the U.S. We work with a range of professionals in various industries and from many different countries.

We also work with compassion, diligence, and legal expertise for our clients facing possible removal from the United States.  We recognize this is a stressful situation for both the client facing removal proceedings and their family, friends, and business associates.  We are experienced in handling complex removal cases from the issuance of the Notice to Appear (NTA) through the trial before the immigration judge.  We meticulously prepare our client’s defense, including waiver forms, supporting waiver documentation, in-office trial preparation, and representation in immigration court at all hearings.  Our goal is always to zealously represent each and every client and do what is in the best interest of the client.

The process of becoming an American citizen, while a dream of many immigrants, can be complicated. Our legal team remains updated on the changing rules of this process and is available to answer client questions at any time. We work hard on behalf of our clients seeking naturalization in order to make the process as smooth as possible.

All of our partners are Board Certified by the Florida Bar Association in Immigration and Nationality Law, which is the highest distinction in Florida.  Only Board Certified attorneys can call themselves “experts” in an area of law. All partners have been named “Florida Super Lawyers”.  All of our attorneys are licensed to practice in Florida and are members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association of South Florida.  Attorneys Evan Shane and Michael Shane are past presidents of the AILA South Florida Chapter.  One of our partners is the only attorney in the U.S. to serve as a United States Immigration Judge Regional Counsel for the Southern Region and a Chief Legal Officer of the Immigration and Naturalization Service for a District of the INS.

Conveniently located in Fort Lauderdale, our office allows us to serve the entire South Florida region. With advanced communications tools including Skype, we make it easy to schedule a consultation or get answers to immigration law questions.
